ABOUT SARAH
Something needs to change… but where do I start?
If you’re here, you might be a long way from the version of yourself you remember. You’re doing everything right, and still waking up already depleted, wired, or wondering whether you’re heading toward burnout. I’ve been there. My GP-ordered scans were clear, my blood tests were normal, and yet I could barely function.
For years, I tried to think my way through it. Research more, plan better, optimise harder. What I didn’t understand yet was that a nervous system locked in survival mode doesn’t respond to effort. It responds to safety.
What changed wasn’t a new protocol. It was a physiotherapist quietly working on my feet while I was there for neck pain. Afterwards, the world looked more vivid. I slept. I felt calm for the first time in years. When I finally asked what she was doing, she told me about Feldenkrais.
That moment taught me something I now bring to every client. The part of you that’s screaming for attention is rarely where the real work is. It’s usually in a part of you that’s gone quiet, like a foot that forgot the ground, a feeling you stopped letting yourself have, or a value you stopped listening to. When the quiet part comes back into your awareness, the rest of the system has more room to move.
I’m Sarah Neylon, a recovering overthinker, coach and Feldenkrais practitioner based in Mount Pleasant, Perth. Years of training have sharpened a kind of attunement I think I always had: a way of noticing where someone’s real aliveness lives, even when it’s buried under years of holding it
together.
My work draws on Feldenkrais, functional medicine informed coaching, and Emotional Agility®, a framework developed by Susan David, Ph.D., woven together so change can take root in your real life.
This isn’t therapy and it isn’t a quick fix. It’s an unhurried, body-based way of getting reacquainted with yourself.
Find the support that suits your journey
No matter if you need online support or in-person, hands-on guidance, we’ll work together in a way that honours your unique experiences, needs, and goals.
Online support across Australia
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement and coaching sessions are available online via Zoom, tailored to you and accessible wherever you are in Australia. Particularly suited to high-pressure professionals who need support that fits around demanding schedules without losing the depth of one-to-one attention. Sessions move at the pace that suits your nervous system, and we begin where you actually are.
Most people start with a conversation about what’s happening for you and what you’re hoping for instead. From there, we choose the form of support that fits.
In-person support in Mt Pleasant, Perth
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement, Functional Integration, and coaching are all available in person in Mount Pleasant, with hands-on guidance and time to learn at your own pace.
In-person work suits people who want the depth of fully-present, one-to-one somatic attention, and who benefit from the slower nervous-system pace that being in a room together makes possible.
We start with a conversation about what’s happening for you, then choose the right blend: hands-on Feldenkrais, movement lessons, coaching, or a combination over time.
Feel seen, supported, and guided through life’s challenges
Please note, individual experiences may vary. My services are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment and care.
What you'll notice over time
Whether you’re a high-achieving professional feeling overwhelmed, a health-conscious person who wants better mind-body balance, or a health practitioner looking for client support, here’s how I can help you.
Steadier base of support:
LEARN MORE
When you’re depleted, scattered, or constantly braced for the next
thing, the answer isn’t tighter management. Through Feldenkrais, functional medicine informed coaching, and Emotional Agility®, you build a steadier base, so what arrives doesn’t knock you off your base.
Clearer thinking:
LEARN MORE
You know the moment when your brain goes quiet halfway through a sentence, or when a small decision feels enormous. That’s not a thinking problem. As your body stops running a quiet emergency in the background, the clarity comes back, and you have body-based ways of meeting overwhelm before it tips into something larger.
Move with what matters:
LEARN MORE
When you’re running on empty, even the things you care about feel like one more thing. As your system has more capacity, you reconnect with what actually matters to you, and find you can move toward it without overriding yourself.
More space, more ease:
LEARN MORE
The work isn’t one-and-done. You’ll leave with practices for settling your nervous system and meeting pressure differently, so a more spacious life starts to feel possible, and stays that way with more ease.
Wellbeing that holds:
LEARN MORE
Resilience, balance, patience, and emotional clarity change everything. Movement feels easier, daily life feels lighter, and there’s room again for the things you actually enjoy.
Sarah Neylon’s Coaching, Lessons & Classes
All my different types of support begin with a discovery session to identify your needs and how to work together best.
Feldenkrais uses gentle, guided movement to help your brain and body update old patterns of tension and bracing. If protocols, stretching, or trying to “be more positive” haven’t shifted anxious tension, persistent pain, or the kind of exhaustion that feels like burnout, it doesn’t mean you’re failing. It usually means your nervous system hasn’t yet been shown a different way to respond. This kind of integrative work, grounded in current science, can help.
You will get the unique support you need, in whatever form you need it, starting from $25 per session for ATM classes and $130 per hour for one‐to‐one sessions. I offer single sessions as well as 5 and 10 session packages, depending on the depth of support you are looking for.
Strategic Coaching: Values, Energy & Change
Sometimes you can feel your energy quietly draining and you’re not even sure where it’s going. You only know it’s making it harder to show up the way you want to, whether at work, at home, or for yourself.
This work blends strategic coaching, the Emotional Agility® framework by Susan David, Ph.D., and gentle awareness of how your body responds under pressure.
Together, these support you to respond with more clarity and choice, rather than reacting from a system that’s been running on empty.
Perfect for: high-pressure professionals living with burnout or chronic stress; people wanting values-led, sustainable change without bypassing what their body is telling them.
Feldenkrais Functional Integration (FI) Private Lessons
Persistent tension, fatigue, difficulty moving with ease, and a sense that your body just can’t quite settle: these are some of the things FI lessons can support.
FI is a personalised, one-to-one Feldenkrais experience using gentle, hands-on guidance. Using your history, habits, and current needs as a starting point, we work together so your nervous system can find easier, more efficient ways to organise movement.
Perfect for: professionals recovering from burnout or chronic tension; yoga enthusiasts seeking deeper embodiment; anyone wanting to move with greater ease and confidence.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) Classes
Have you ever felt a step removed from your own body, whether it’s a kind of stiffness, a switched-on feeling, or a sense that you can’t quite settle? ATM classes are a gentle starting point.
ATM is a guided group experience. You’re led through slow, mindful sequences that help you notice your own movement habits, ease unnecessary effort, and build a more trusting relationship
with your body.
Available in person and online.
Perfect for: busy professionals; yoga enthusiasts; anyone feeling wired-but-tired, fatigued, or
close to burnout.

Let’s create the conditions for greater ease, capacity, and meaningful change over time.
From Healthy Friend To Burnt Out: Why I Chose Functional Medicine Coaching
I did everything right and still ended up dizzy, exhausted and burnt out. This post shares the story of my health crash, why standard tests kept saying everything was fine, and how functional and integrative medicine finally helped make sense of what was happening. I talk about why I chose to train as a functional medicine health coach, and what this approach can offer if you are living with anxiety, fatigue, hormonal symptoms or nervous system overload that do not quite add up.
Slowing Down Is Not Weakness. It Is Resistance.
We have built an entire culture around overriding the body. Somatic movement has been quietly pushing back for over a century. Here is why that matters now more than ever.
Dealing With Stress and Burnout?
A wellness practitioner can help build sustainable change through regulation, awareness, and ease rather than pushing harder – could this be the kind of support you’ve been looking for?
Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve got some questions you’d like answers to, or more information you’d like to have, take a look at our FAQs.
What qualifications do you have?
Great question! I have a rather holistic variety of qualifications that inform my work, including:
- Certified Feldenkrais practitioner (4 year training)
- Shinpiden Reiki Master (Practising since 2017)
- Functional Medicine Coach (2026 Candidate)
- Emotional Agility® Certified Practitioner, certified by Susan David, Ph.D., Harvard Medical
School psychologist and author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller Emotional Agility. - Robbins‐Madanes Strategic Intervention Coach (Since 2016)
- Ayurvedic Abhyanga/Basti Massage Therapist
- Mental Health First Aider
Each piece contributes something different. The somatic depth of Feldenkrais, the strategic and emotional skill of coaching, and the whole-system lens of integrative medicine. Together they shape how I support each client, and help people who are running on empty feel more confident and steadier in themselves over time.
I’m a professional in a high-stress environment, but I don’t have (or haven’t had) burnout. Can you still help me?
Yes. Burnout is one part of what I work with, but the deeper work is helping high-functioning people relate to pressure differently, before it tips into something harder to come back from. You already have everything you need within you.
My job is to offer tools, attention, and a different kind of conversation, so you can work with your nervous system rather than against it.
Maybe you’re managing fatigue, sustained stress, low-grade disconnection from your body, or you simply want to feel more like yourself. This work meets you where you are.
I’ve tried yoga before... how is your approach any different?
The main difference comes down to focus. Yoga is about holding static poses, breath control, and stretching. Feldenkrais is about exploring gentle, small movements to re‐educate your nervous system and deepen your mind‐body connection.
Feldenkrais, particularly Functional Integration, addresses how your entire self coordinates, working with whole‐body patterns rather
than a single muscle or joint. Change becomes deep, global, and integrated.
It’s also the perfect accompaniment to yoga for those seeking a deeper level of movement and bodily awareness.
Do you offer any support for health practitioners?
Yes. My work is designed to complement clinical care and help your clients follow the treatment plan you have created for them.
Through my Functional Medicine Coach Academy training, I draw on evidence-based coaching methods, positive psychology, behaviour change science, functional nutrition principles, and an understanding of root cause health. This allows me to support clients in turning your clinical recommendations into daily habits that actually stick.
Because FMCA trains coaches to stay within scope and to work collaboratively within healthcare teams, you remain fully in charge of all medical decisions and treatment. I serve as the guide who helps your clients navigate the stages of change, understand barriers, and build the mindset and lifestyle foundations required for long-term success.
My support is always personalised. Rather than offering a generic plan, I tailor the coaching process to each client’s unique health history, goals, strengths, and readiness for change. This helps them build consistency, resilience, and sustainable lifestyle shifts that align with the outcomes you have identified.
If you are a health practitioner, I can help your clients follow your protocols with greater clarity and confidence so they can work towards the results you intend for them, while you remain firmly in control of their medical care.
What is Feldenkrais, and how can it help me?
Feldenkrais is a gentle, movement‐based method for retraining how you move, so you can move with greater ease and more awareness. It enhances your mind‐body connection to increase your comfort, coordination, and balance in everyday life.
For those who are overwhelmed, fatigued, or struggling to move
without strain, Feldenkrais offers the opportunity to become more
attuned with your body in a way that makes your everyday activities easier and more efficient. It also complements other movement practices like yoga beautifully.
Do you work with teams and organisations on workplace wellbeing?
Absolutely. Many organisations are now recognising the value of supporting their teams with health and wellbeing coaching, particularly in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
As an Emotional Agility® Certified Practitioner, I draw on a framework developed by Susan David, Ph.D. that’s specifically designed to help people in workplaces navigate emotion and take values-based action. Combined with functional medicine coaching, drawn from the only health coaching curriculum developed in collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and the body-based work of Feldenkrais, this gives teams concrete tools for resilience, adaptability, and clearer decision-making under pressure.
It’s better to be proactive than reactive. As someone who has experienced burnout firsthand, I can say that learning to work with your nervous system rather than against it changes everything.
I’d love to find out more about your team’s needs and goals.
What does your logo represent?
My logo comes from a photo of me as a little girl. She learned early, as many of us do, to push past what her body was telling her and keep going. This image now represents the heart of my practice: helping people stop overriding their body’s signals and start working with them instead. The answers were there all along.
How is Feldenkrais different from Pilates and the pelvic clock used in Pilates?
Feldenkrais was developed by Moshe Feldenkrais. Some sources suggest he and Joseph Pilates knew each other, and that the pelvic clock concept used in Pilates originates from Feldenkrais.
The key difference is that Feldenkrais is not about exercise or strength. It’s about learning to move more efficiently and comfortably, exploring how you move, noticing habits that cause pain or limit performance, and gently learning new ways to move smarter, not just stronger.
How did you discover Feldenkrais?
I discovered Feldenkrais in 2017 when visiting my physiotherapist for persistent neck pain. I was also travelling excessively for work and feeling chronically stressed.
During my sessions, my therapist was often working on my feet, which confused me, since the pain was in my neck. But after each session I felt grounded, calmer, and had noticeably less pain. The world looked more vivid and I was sleeping better.
When I finally asked what she was doing, she told me about Feldenkrais. From then on I was hooked and I still work with my original practitioner to this day.
How did you become a Feldenkrais Practitioner?
I trained through an accredited four‐year programme that included hands‐on practice, group classes, and theoretical study, giving me the skills to guide both individual lessons and group Awareness Through Movement sessions.
What can I expect in a Feldenkrais Functional Integration session?
I use gentle, precise touch and movement to help your body recognise where it is holding unnecessary tension. This communicates directly with your nervous system in a quiet and natural way, allowing it to soften and let go.
As your body releases these habits, your breathing often becomes easier and more spacious. You might notice small shifts in how you walk, how you stand, or how you feel overall. Your system begins to reorganise itself from the inside out.
Many people leave feeling lighter, more aligned, grounded, and at ease in their body.
