ABOUT SARAH

“Something needs to change… but where do I start?”

Imagine waking up with energy. You feel more like yourself again, even though life is still full and demanding, because your body is no longer braced for impact.

If you’re here, you might be a long way from that. You’re doing everything “right” and still waking up already depleted.

I’ve been there. My GP ordered scans were clear, my blood tests were normal, and yet I could barely function.

For years, I tried to think my way through it: research more, plan better, optimise harder. What I didn’t understand yet was that a nervous system locked in survival mode doesn’t respond to effort. It responds to safety.

What changed everything wasn’t a new protocol. It was a physiotherapist quietly working on my feet while I was there for neck pain. Afterwards, the world looked more vivid. I slept. I felt calm for the first time in years.

When I finally asked what she was doing, she told me about Feldenkrais.

That discovery led to a completely different relationship with uncertainty.

Feldenkrais looks like gentle movement on the surface, but it is really about developing a more flexible way of sensing, thinking, and acting, so I no longer met the unknown with my body braced for impact.

Alongside this, my work with integrative medicine doctors invited me to stop chasing symptoms and start asking why my body was holding on so tight – not just what was happening, but why and why now. That lens now shapes how I coach and how I support people to make changes their daily life can hold.

I am Sarah Neylon, a recovering overthinker, coach and Feldenkrais practitioner with a deep, lived understanding of how the nervous system responds to stress and safety. Through collaborative coaching, gentle Feldenkrais work, and practical tools informed by integrative medicine, I support people who feel stuck in survival mode to find more ease, more energy, and more trust in their own bodies.

Sarah Neylon’s Coaching, Lessons & Classes

All my different types of support begin with a discovery session to identify your needs and how to work together best.

Feldenkrais uses gentle, guided movement to help your brain and body update old patterns of tension and stress. If protocols, stretching, or trying to “be more positive” have not shifted things, that does not mean you are failing. It usually means your nervous system has not been shown a different way to move and respond, and that is where gentle, integrative, science‐informed work can help.

You will get the unique support you need, in whatever form you need it, starting from $25 per session for ATM classes and $130 per hour for one‐to‐one sessions. I offer single sessions as well as 5 and 10 session packages, depending on the depth of support you are looking for.

Strategic Coaching: Values, Energy & Change

Sometimes you feel like your energy is being drained and you’re not even sure where from. All you know is that it’s making it harder to show up the way you want to.

This is a blend of strategic coaching, nervous system‐informed techniques, and values‐based transformation that helps you address your emotions calmly and clearly, leading with your values for long‐term change rather than short‐term fixes.

You’ll build resilience that strengthens your overall health and performance, and receive deeply personal support tailored to your history and current stressors. We will draw on Emotional Agility ideas and gentle awareness of how your body responds under pressure, so it feels easier to pause, choose your response, and stay connected to what matters to you.

Perfect for: Those navigating burnout or health challenges; people seeking action-oriented, sustainable change; high-pressure career professionals.

Feldenkrais Functional Integration (FI) Private Lessons

Persistent tension, fatigue, difficulty moving with ease, and a feeling that your body just cannot quite settle are just a few of the things FI lessons can help with.

FI is a personalised, one on one Feldenkrais experience, using gentle, hands on guidance. Using your history, habits, and current needs as a starting point, we work together to help your nervous system find easier, more efficient ways to organise movement.

You will release long held tension, improve your overall coordination and balance, and feel more at ease both physically and mentally.

Perfect for: Professionals recovering from stress or burnout; yoga enthusiasts seeking deeper embodiment; anyone wanting to move with greater ease and confidence.

Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) Classes

Have you ever felt like you’re not quite in tune with your body? Whether it’s a lack of calm, a feeling of stiffness or disconnect, or an overall sense that you just can’t switch off. ATM classes are a gentle
starting point.

ATM is a guided group experience, teaching you slow and mindful sequences of movement that help you recognise your body’s tension, movement patterns, and efficiency.

You’ll learn to retrain your nervous system, helping you move with ease, breathe more freely, and feel light and balanced.

Perfect for: Busy professionals; yoga enthusiasts; those feeling anxious, fatigued, or burnt-out.

From Healthy Friend To Burnt Out: Why I Chose Functional Medicine Coaching

I did everything right and still ended up dizzy, exhausted and burnt out. This post shares the story of my health crash, why standard tests kept saying everything was fine, and how functional and integrative medicine finally helped make sense of what was happening. I talk about why I chose to train as a functional medicine health coach, and what this approach can offer if you are living with anxiety, fatigue, hormonal symptoms or nervous system overload that do not quite add up.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve got some questions you’d like answers to, or more information you’d like to have, take a look at our FAQs.

Great question! I have a rather holistic variety of qualifications that inform my work, including:

  • Certified Feldenkrais practitioner (4 year training)
  • Reiki Master
  • Intention Energy Tapping Coaching (2026 Candidate)
  • Functional Medicine Coach (2026 Candidate)
  • Dr Susan David, Harvard Psychologist, Emotional Agility training
  • Robbins‐Madanes Strategic Intervention Coach
  • Ayurvedic Abhyanga/Basti Massage Therapist (trained to deepen my understanding of stress, relaxation and nervous system regulation from a holistic perspective)
  • Mental Health First Aider

My Emotional Agility training helps you notice and work with your thoughts and emotions in a grounded way, while Feldenkrais gives your body the gentle, practical experiences it needs so change becomes real, not just conceptual.

My qualifications and learning have helped me to empower each client on their unique journey, and help them to feel more confident and in control — I’d love to support you, too!

Though I’m experienced in the area of burnout, that doesn’t mean I’m not well‐versed in the areas that high‐performing professionals struggle with outside of that.

You already have everything you need within you. My job is to give you the tools, strategies, and confidence to follow your own path and work with your nervous system rather than against it.

I’m here to help you manage stress and navigate your life with ease, whether you’re struggling with fatigue, high stress, disconnection from your body, or simply not feeling your best.

The main difference comes down to focus. Yoga is about holding static poses, breath control, and stretching. Feldenkrais is about exploring gentle, small movements to re‐educate your nervous system and deepen your mind‐body connection.

Feldenkrais, particularly Functional Integration, addresses how your entire self coordinates, working with whole‐body patterns rather
than a single muscle or joint. Change becomes deep, global, and integrated.

It’s also the perfect accompaniment to yoga for those seeking a deeper level of movement and bodily awareness.

Yes. My work is designed to complement clinical care and help your clients follow the treatment plan you have created for them.

Through my Functional Medicine Coach Academy training, I draw on evidence-based coaching methods, positive psychology, behaviour change science, functional nutrition principles, and an understanding of root cause health. This allows me to support clients in turning your clinical recommendations into daily habits that actually stick.

Because FMCA trains coaches to stay within scope and to work collaboratively within healthcare teams, you remain fully in charge of all medical decisions and treatment. I serve as the guide who helps your clients navigate the stages of change, understand barriers, and build the mindset and lifestyle foundations required for long-term success.

My support is always personalised. Rather than offering a generic
plan, I tailor the coaching process to each client’s unique health history, goals, strengths, and readiness for change. This helps them build consistency, resilience, and sustainable lifestyle shifts that align with the outcomes you have identified.

If you are a health practitioner, I can help your clients follow your
protocols with greater clarity and confidence so they can work towards the results you intend for them, while you remain firmly in control of their medical care.

Feldenkrais is a gentle, movement‐based method for retraining how you move, so you can move with greater ease and more awareness. It enhances your mind‐body connection to increase your comfort, coordination, and balance in everyday life.

For those who are overwhelmed, fatigued, or struggling to move
without strain, Feldenkrais offers the opportunity to become more
attuned with your body in a way that makes your everyday activities easier and more efficient. It also complements other movement practices like yoga beautifully.

Absolutely. Many organisations are now recognising the value of
supporting their teams with health and wellbeing coaching, particularly in fast‐paced, high‐pressure environments.

A blend of nervous system‐informed coaching and Feldenkrais support helps employees build resilience and mindfulness while becoming more adaptable. It’s better to be proactive than reactive. As someone who has experienced burnout firsthand, I can say that
learning to work with your nervous system rather than against it changes everything.

I’d love to find out more about your team’s needs and goals.

My logo comes from a photo of me as a little girl. She learned early, as many of us do, to push past what her body was telling her and keep going. This image now represents the heart of my practice: helping people stop overriding their body’s signals and start working with them instead. The answers were there all along.

Feldenkrais was developed by Moshe Feldenkrais. Some sources suggest he and Joseph Pilates knew each other, and that the pelvic clock concept used in Pilates originates from Feldenkrais.

The key difference is that Feldenkrais is not about exercise or strength. It’s about learning to move more efficiently and comfortably, exploring how you move, noticing habits that cause pain or limit performance, and gently learning new ways to move smarter, not just stronger.

I discovered Feldenkrais in 2017 when visiting my physiotherapist for persistent neck pain. I was also travelling excessively for work and feeling chronically stressed.

During my sessions, my therapist was often working on my feet, which confused me, since the pain was in my neck. But after each session I felt grounded, calmer, and had noticeably less pain. The world looked more vivid and I was sleeping better.

When I finally asked what she was doing, she told me about Feldenkrais. From then on I was hooked and I still work with my original practitioner to this day.

I trained through an accredited four‐year programme that included hands‐on practice, group classes, and theoretical study, giving me the skills to guide both individual lessons and group Awareness Through Movement sessions.

I use gentle, precise touch and movement to help your body recognise where it is holding unnecessary tension. This communicates directly with your nervous system in a quiet and natural way, allowing it to soften and let go.

As your body releases these habits, your breathing often becomes easier and more spacious. You might notice small shifts in how you walk, how you stand, or how you feel overall. Your system begins to reorganise itself from the inside out.

Many people leave feeling lighter, more aligned, grounded, and at ease in their body.
